The Sound of Numbers

Music is one of the most important things when it comes to people’s lives. We use music as a vehicle to increase emotions in movies, as a platform to make an impact in games or even to make you cry when it comes to reality shows. Bow how important is musicin our life, really? Where does it come from? How is it affected by recent technology and what were the challenges during the sprout of digital systems? These are some of the questions that we will address in this talk. We want to involve the audience ona journey through history as we dissect the elements of music and how technology affects it.

About the speaker

Luís studied electrical and computers engineering at FEUP and brings the passion for automation to every challenge he embraces. After working as Web Developer at PT Inovação, he went on to start from the ground up an IOT start-up company where he could finally put his academic training into practice. At FABAMAQ, Luís contributed to launch a state-of-the-art gambling system and he’s now on the development team of a solution to remotely connect and control the gambling systems of FABAMAQ.
