Porto Tech Hub Conference 2023 took place on October 27th

-The eighth edition of Porto Tech Hub Conference was held at Alfândega do Porto.

-The conference brought together more than a thousand professionals and dozens of companies to debate the main technological trends.

-It featured talks on topics such as Programming, Cloud and Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Modern Web and Artificial Intelligence and the presence of representatives from companies such as Google and Oracle.

The eighth edition of the Porto Tech Hub Conference, an event that brings together the technological ecosystem in the city of Porto, took place on October 27 at Alfândega do Porto, a larger venue than the previous edition, which made it possible to host more talks, participants and sponsoring companies. The initiative, organized by Porto Tech Hub, whose mission is to promote and develop the city of Porto as a global technology hub, brought together dozens of companies and more than a thousand professionals in a day and environment conducive to sharing the main trends and technological innovations of today and for the future.

With the aim of promoting knowledge-sharing among the technology community and enabling contact between big names in the sector and the professionals present, the event consisted of several talks. Notable speakers included Mete Atamel, Software Engineer and Developer Advocate at Google, Josh Long, Spring Developer Advocate at Pivotal, Patrycja Wegrzynowicz, founder of Yon Labs, Nicolai Parlog, Java Developer Advocate at Oracle, among many others, who debated different topics from the world of technology during the event.

As well as sharing knowledge, the conference also featured practical workshops focused on various technological areas, which challenged participants to move from theory to practice. The topics highlighted, both in the lectures and in the workshops, ranged from the various fundamental programming languages to Cloud and Infrastructure, as well as Cybersecurity, Modern Web and Artificial Intelligence.

The Porto Tech Hub Conference, which was held for the first time in 2015, has already been attended by around 5,000 people and more than 80 speakers over the previous editions. Renowned companies such as eBay, Facebook, Spotify, Microsoft and Netflix have already attended, solidifying the event’s reputation as an essential meeting point for professionals and companies in the technology sector.
