IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) and People 4 People’s new meetups

During July the tech community calendar didn’t stop and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) had their IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit on 25th, 26th and 27th, at FEUP. The most recent community to join Porto Tech Hub is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering. The mission of IEEE WIE is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally.

People 4 People, a community dedicated to sharing and discussing strategies in the Human Resources area, has its next meetup happening on the 18th of September. This community was born one year ago in Porto Tech Hub’s conference, and it is already going for its 5th meetup! This time the theme will be People Management Meets Agile. Hosted at Porto Innovation Hub, the meetup will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and the speakers will be Eduardo Ribeiro, Enterprise Agile Coach at Critical Software and Sofia Peixoto, Agile Coach at Critical Software.
