ITSector opens its 6th Software Development Center in Castelo Branco
ITSector opened its 6th Software Development Center in Portugal, at CEI – Centro de Empresas Inovadoras, in Castelo Branco, Portugal.
With this investment (budgeted at € 3m), the company adds to the existing units in Porto (headquarters), Lisbon, Braga, Aveiro and Bragança, another space dedicated to the development of nearshore projects for the financial sector.
The technology company has already begun a recruitment process to meet its goal of hiring 17 employees to operate from Castelo Branco by the end of 2019.
On this subject, Renato Oliveira, president of the ITSector Group, stated the following: “We have several job opportunities, as we still want to reach 17 employees in 2019. We seek to form a team that specializes in cutting-edge technology, with a strong focus on the financial sector, in Artificial Intelligence and 5G. The growth prospect for the number of employees in Castelo Branco will continue next year and it is our goal to attain 50 by the end of 2020.”
Renato Oliveira also mentioned that this investment will allow the company to expand its hiring capacity in different geographic spaces and thus offer alternatives to software industry professionals who aim to develop a career in technology in their homeland or outside major urban centers, contributing to a higher quality of life at a more attractive cost.
Luís Correia, President of the ITSector Group, also revealed that the growth expectations for the Castelo Branco Development Center “will imply the expansion of current facilities to attract young people with high academic qualifications”.
Renato Oliveira reinforced this idea as part of the strategy outlined to continue ITSector’s international expansion from Portugal: “We want to repeat the success stories of Porto, Lisbon, Braga, Aveiro and Bragança to keep responding to the growing requests from national and international clients.”
