DSSG organizes first Data Science for Social Good Summit

Data Science for Social Good Portugal is organizing the community’s first Summit, with the same name, on October 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, between 5 and 8.30 p.m.

Data Science for Social Good Summit is an online free event organized by DSSG Portugal, along with SoGooD²ata and Nova SBE and its main goals are:

* To inspire NGOs and government institutions using practical examples on how to apply data science;

* To inspire digital and data professionals to apply their knowledge to the social sector;

* To train NGOs, government institutions and professionals in the digital and data areas to create an impact.

The Summit will be filled with motivating lectures, panels for exchanging experiences and practical workshops through which the organizers propose to achieve the objectives described above. To give some examples:

* Lecture: “Demystifying data for NGOs” – by Nova SBE

* Workshop for “Impact measurement” with LogFrame

* Workshop for “Decision support systems” with LTPLabs

* Workshop for Design Thinking with Deloitte
